Local residents were able to capture video footage of the tornado, which lasted approximately four minutes.
Tornadoes are infrequent occurrences in Puerto Rico, as noted by the Associated Press. Since 1950, only 24 tornadoes, including the recent event on Sunday, have been documented in the U.S. territory.
