North Korea Fires 2 Missiles Following US Soldier Crossing Border

On Wednesday, North Korea’s military launched two short-range missiles into the ocean, which appears to be a display of strength following the deployment of a nuclear-capable submarine by the U.S. to South Korea.
These recent missile launches add to a series of previous firings by North Korea, with the country expressing opposition to U.S. presence in the region and asserting that their actions are solely for self-defense.
In response to criticism over a previous test launch of an intercontinental ballistic missile, North Korean Ambassador to the U.S. Kim Song defended the move, describing it as a justified exercise in national self-defense.
