President Joe Biden has acknowledged the four-year-old grandchild Hunter had with Lunden Roberts.
In a statement to People, the president said: “Our son Hunter and Navy’s mother, Lunden, are working together to foster a relationship that is in the best interests of their daughter, preserving her privacy as much as possible going forward.
“This is not a political issue, it’s a family matter,” Biden’s statement continues. “Jill and I only want what is best for all of our grandchildren, including Navy.”
Biden himself drew attention to the issue with some of his statements, including when he referenced his “six grandchildren” even while struggling to mention all of their names at a White House event.
