U.S. gas prices have hit an eight-month high amid the peak summer travel season.
The average price of a regular gallon of gas is now $3.71, according to AAA.
One week ago, the cost was $3.58 per gallon, a 13-cent increase in a week.
November 2022 was the last time gas prices in the U.S. were that high, but they still down from the June 2022 high of $5.016 a gallon.
