On Sunday afternoon, six migrant workers suffered injuries in what authorities believe to be a deliberate attack when they were struck by an SUV in a Walmart parking lot in Lincolnton, North Carolina.
The incident occurred nearly four months after a similar intentional assault took place in a Texas border town, where an individual purposefully drove an SUV into a crowd outside a homeless shelter, resulting in eight fatalities and 10 injuries.
According to the Lincolnton Police Department, the injured migrants were promptly transported to a nearby hospital, where medical assessments indicated that none of their injuries were life-threatening. Police authorities have classified the incident as an “intentional assault,” suggesting that the SUV driver targeted the migrant workers deliberately.
