A violent incident described as a “mass shooting” occurred at a block party in Muncie, Indiana, in the early hours of Sunday, resulting in the death of one individual and causing injuries to at least 19 others.
According to reports, dispatchers received an emergency call reporting multiple people shot in the vicinity of S. Hackley St. and E. Willard St. at approximately 1:14 a.m.
Initial details revealed that a “large party” was taking place at the mentioned location when the tragic incident unfolded. In a news release, local law enforcement clarified that there was no ongoing threat to the community.
