Ex-White House Doc Ronny Jackson Wrongfully Detained Over Giving Medical Aid To Teen

On Saturday evening, Republican Rep. Ronny Jackson of Texas was briefly detained by law enforcement while attempting to provide aid to a teenage girl in medical distress, according to a statement from his office.
Rep. Jackson, a prominent figure known for serving as the White House physician to former Presidents George W. Bush, Barack Obama, and Donald Trump, was attending the annual White Deer Rodeo in White Deer, Texas, located about 40 miles northeast of Amarillo. In the midst of a “very loud and chaotic environment,” a 15-year-old girl experienced a medical emergency, and her aunt, who happened to be a nurse, initially attempted to provide assistance but required additional support.
In the absence of uniformed EMS providers on the scene at that time, someone requested Rep. Jackson’s aid to assist the girl in need. As he stepped in to help, law enforcement briefly detained him during the process. The statement from Jackson’s office did not provide further details on the duration of his detention or the reasons behind it.
