Twitter Served With Warrant For Trump Account In January, Fined For Delay

Special counsel Jack Smith obtained a search warrant for former President Donald Trump’s Twitter account in January, as revealed by newly released court documents.
In response to the warrant, Twitter, now known as X, faced delays in compliance, leading a federal judge to hold the company in contempt and impose a fine of $350,000.
The judge’s ruling received affirmation from a federal appeals court in Washington, D.C. last month, with the details contained in a sealed opinion. However, a redacted version of this opinion was made public by the court on Wednesday, thereby shedding light on this previously undisclosed legal conflict.
