Homelessness in LA Up 10% Since 2022, Downtown Streets Full Of Tents, Open Drug Use

An estimated 42,260 people are sleeping on the streets in Los Angeles – 10% increase compared to just last year, according to a recent Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority report.
The city reportedly has to sending mobile teams with oxygen cylinders to Skid Row to prevent overdoses amid its opioid crisis.
Democrat Mayor Karen Bass was elected last year in part of a vow to fix the city’s homelessness problem by 2026.
The number of homeless people in Los Angles has more than doubled in the past decade.
