Reggie Bush Sues NCAA, Wants His Heisman Trophy Back

NFL commentator and College Football Hall of Famer Reggie Bush has launched a defamation lawsuit against the NCAA, asserting that the organization made a false implication in a statement issued two years ago. The statement allegedly suggested that he had received payment for his participation in football at the University of Southern California (USC).
The legal action stems from a prior incident in 2010 when the NCAA accused Bush of accepting improper payments from an external source during his college athlete days. Consequently, he was subjected to the removal of his collegiate titles and subsequently chose to voluntarily surrender his 2005 Heisman Trophy.
In the lawsuit, it is contended that the NCAA’s management of the investigation into the aforementioned allegations was marred by procedural issues.
