The Norfolk police department intervened by pulling over the driver, identified as Lee Meyer. This action followed reports from concerned witnesses who had contacted the authorities upon observing a vehicle en route to the town while transporting a live cow.
Police Captain Chad Reiman conveyed to News Channel Nebraska that the officers had initially anticipated encountering a young calf or a comparably compact animal that could be accommodated within the confines of the vehicle.
