Nejourde “Jord” Meacham, a 22-year-old Jan. 6 defendant, has been found dead, according to reports.
Meacham, a non-violent defendant charged with entering the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, reportedly committed suicide.
He died while facing prosecution for four misdemeanors.
Meacham traveled to Washington, D.C., with his uncle, Odin, according to the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ).
Nejourde Meacham was never accused of violence. The federal complaint against him includes several photos of him wandering around outside and inside the Capitol building. The pictures show him peacefully holding a “Trump 2020” flag.
