Male Cross Country Runner Tops Rankings After Switching To Female Division

The 22nd annual Maine Cross Country Festival of Champions is set to take place this weekend, and one participant, Soren Stark-Chessa, has garnered significant attention, particularly among individuals who acknowledge the role of biology and are willing to engage in conversations about it.
Reportedly, Stark-Chessa, who is biologically male, participated in the boys’ division as a freshman last year, representing Coast Waldorf School in Freeport, ME.
In the boys’ division, Stark-Chessa held the 172nd rank in the 5k. Now in their sophomore year, competing in the girls’ division, Stark-Chessa has unexpectedly surged to fourth place and is displaying strong performance.
