The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) under the administration of President Joe Biden has implemented a policy mandating that employees recognize and use the preferred pronouns of their colleagues regarding their gender identities.
Rachel Levine, who serves as the Assistant Secretary for HHS and is a transgender pediatrician, has utilized the federal government position to promote the concept of sex changes for minors.
Levine expressed the belief that these interventions, such as puberty-blocking drugs, cross-sex hormones, and surgeries, are both “medically necessary” and “safe and effective.”
