China is deploying the vessels as tensions rise in the region and amid fears the Israel-Hamas war could spread through the Middle East and beyond.
The China fleet is the 44th naval escort task force.
The fleet has reportedly been involved in routine operations in the area and last week spent several days in Oman, on the southeastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula.
