The United States is reportedly posing strong opposition to the Israeli government launching a pre-emptive strike on Hezbollah in Lebanon as Israel goes to war with another terror group, Hamas in Gaza.
The U.S. doesn’t want Israel fighting a two-front war that could spark a major regional conflict.
The Lebanese-based Islamist militia group Hezbollah has repeatedly fired on Israeli settlements, leading to an Israeli evacuation of the northern border, since Hamas attacked Israel on Oct. 7 and Israel in turn declared war on Hamas.
