‘Stand With Israel Act’ Would Defund UN Human Rights Council Until It Condemns Hamas Terrorists

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla., introduced new legislation Monday that would withhold U.S. taxpayer funds from the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC), according to a copy of the bill acquired by The National Desk (TND).
The “Stand With Israel Act” seeks to strip the council of all U.S. assistance until it condemns the terrorist group Hamas for causing a “massive, unprovoked war” with Israel. The deadly terrorist attacks resulted in hundreds of deaths and an estimated 200 hostages, triggering a fierce Israeli counteroffensive.
Rep. Luna told TND Tuesday that the ask should be easy for the UNHRC given its commitment to advancing human rights.
