Former Trump Attorney Eastman Found ‘Culpable’ In Disbarment Trial

California Bar Disciplinary Judge Yvette Roland, who is overseeing the disbarment trial of John Eastman, the former attorney to then-President Donald Trump, could not get Eastman to express remorse for his actions related to the 2020 election and transition of power, and she pronounced him “culpable.”
The California Bar’s attorney, Duncan Carling, attempted to get Eastman to admit that he was inciting violence by giving a speech at January 6. He asked Eastman if his speech risked causing violence. Eastman responded and said there was a risk to the republic if the election was illegal and allowed to stand.
