Hunter Biden initiated a defamation lawsuit on Wednesday against former Overstock.com CEO Patrick Byrne. In the lawsuit filed in the Central District of California, Hunter Biden alleges that Byrne falsely accused him of soliciting a bribe from Iran.
The complaint contends that Byrne made defamatory statements in June and on October 8, 2023, regarding an alleged connection between Hunter Biden and Iran.
According to the complaint, Hunter Biden asserts that Byrne knowingly disseminated false and defamatory information with the intention of subjecting him to harassment, intimidation, and harm.
