The first family in headed to the island of Nantucket off Massachusetts for the long Thanksgiving weekend but this time will leave Tuesday, ahead of a powerful storm arriving in the east on Wednesday that is expected to snarl getaway travel.
The president and first lady Jill Biden are scheduled to be on Nantucket through Sunday.
The Bidens will stay at the compound of private equity billionaire David Rubenstein, as they have in the past, and staying on the island of the holiday has been a family tradition for them for about four decades.
