New York Mayor Eric Adams on Monday downplayed the chatter of disgraced ex-mayor and fellow Democrat Andrew Cuomo challenging him for his seat or trying to fill is should Adams be forced to resign.
Adams is trying to run the city amid an FBI campaign investigation, a sexual assault suit and an overwhelming influx of illegal immigrants.
“We talk often,” Adams said in a radio interview with La Mega 97.9 FM. “I think he is looking at his next political move and there is a lot of things he can look at, but I have to be ready to run New York and that is what I’m focused on doing right now.”
