Only US Hostage Released Related to Biden Appointee

In the recent hostage exchange between Hamas and Israel, the only American released thus far is 4-year-old Abigail Edan.
She holds dual Israeli-American citizenship and is related to Liz Hirsh Naftali, who was appointed by President Biden to the Commission for the Preservation of America’s Heritage Abroad in July.
Naftali, Edan’s great-aunt, has a background as a prominent Democrat donor and was previously involved with Biden for President’s National Finance Committee and served as deputy finance chair for the Democratic National Committee.
