GOP House Majority Could End Before 2024 Elections

The potential loss of key members, including Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) who has announced his retirement at the year’s end, the expulsion of Rep. George Santos (R-NY), and the departure of Rep. Bill Johnson (R-OH) for another role, raises concerns that House Republicans might lose their majority before 2024.
Presently holding a slim four-seat majority, House Republicans will see this number reduced to two as they approach the new year.
This diminished margin underscores the minimal room for error that House Republicans face in maintaining their majority.
