Argentinian President Javier Milei, known for his staunch support of Israel and conservative political stance, arrived in Israel and wasted no time affirming his intention to relocate the Argentinian Embassy to Jerusalem.
Upon his arrival, Milei was greeted by Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz, who praised him for his commitment to truth and values. Katz expressed gratitude for Milei’s recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and his announcement regarding the embassy relocation. “Welcome to Israel, Mr. President – Viva La Libertad Carajo!” Katz exclaimed.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also extended a warm welcome to Milei, hailing him as a friend of Israel and applauding his decision to move the Argentinian embassy to Jerusalem.
Accompanying Milei on his visit were Argentina’s Foreign Minister Diana Mondino, Secretary General of the Presidency Karina Elizabeth Milei, and Rabbi Axel Wahnish, who was appointed as Argentina’s Ambassador to Israel.
Milei’s visit to Israel follows a trip to the United States in late November, during which he paid his respects at the grave of Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, a prominent figure in the Chabad-Lubavitch movement. Before departing from Argentina, Milei participated in a Havdalah ceremony with Rabbi David Pinto Shlita, receiving blessings for his endeavors.
Reflecting on Argentina’s Jewish population, which is the largest in South America with approximately 220,000 people, Milei expressed his hope for the nation’s prosperity and pledged to work toward its betterment with the support of its citizens and divine guidance.
