Former law firm partner and divorce attorney Terrance Bradley testified under oath Tuesday in Fulton County Superior Court regarding his knowledge of the personal relationship between Georgia prosecutor Fani Willis and special prosecutor Nathan Wade. Bradley took the stand after Judge Scott McAfee ruled that attorney-client privilege did not apply in this instance.
During his testimony, Bradley claimed he couldn’t recall several details and timelines of conversations he had with former client Nathan Wade about Wade’s romantic involvement with Fani Willis.
Defense attorney Ashleigh Merchant referred to text messages exchanged between herself and Bradley, where she questioned whether the relationship between Willis and Wade began before Willis hired Wade in 2021. Bradley responded affirmatively in the text exchange.
However, when presented with the record of those texts in court, Bradley initially appeared taken aback, muttering “dang,” before asserting that he was merely speculating in those comments. Attorney Richard Rice subsequently challenged Bradley, asking if he made a habit of spreading falsehoods about his acquaintances, especially in cases of national importance.
Bradley’s response was hesitant: “I could have had, I don’t know.”
Throughout his roughly two-hour testimony, Bradley claimed he couldn’t recall key details or specific information on more than two dozen occasions. He also stated that he had only discussed Wade’s relationship with Willis with Wade himself on one occasion.
