DeSantis Calls Out NAACP Leader Who Vacation In Florida

During a recent appearance on Fox News following his announcement for the 2024 presidential campaign, Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida criticized the leaders of the NAACP for vacationing in his state, despite the organization warning black individuals against visiting Florida.

DeSantis pointed out that some board members of the NAACP had contributed to Florida’s thriving tourism industry by sharing pictures of their vacations in the state on their social media accounts.

He made these remarks in response to the NAACP’s recent “travel advisory,” which cautioned black people about Florida’s allegedly “openly hostile” policies.
