Tara Reade, a former congressional staffer who has accused President Joe Biden of sexual assault, has moved to Russia and will seek citizenship in that country.
Reade confirmed her relocation at a Tuesday press conference, saying she made the move to “find safety.”
The former staffer rose to notoriety during the 2020 presidential election, claiming then-Sen. Biden sexually assaulted her in 1993. Biden has denied her allegations.
“I’m going to make a request, and it is a large one. I’d like to apply for citizenship in Russia from the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin,” she said.
