Actor Chris Hemsworth clarified some of his previous statements about taking a step back from Hollywood, saying his words were exaggerated in the media.
“It all got a little sort of blown out of proportion,” the 39-year-old star told Entertainment Tonight during an interview published Wednesday. “I wanted to take off because I’ve been working for 10 years, and I’ve got three kids that I want to spend more time with.”
Hemsworth had originally said he wanted to take a break from Hollywood to focus on his family in the aftermath of finding out he had a high risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease in the future. The “Avengers” star told Vanity Fair in November that finding the results “really triggered something in me to want to take some time off.”
