A 77-year-old woman fatally shot Arthur Osborne, 58, Sunday night in the groin when allegedly he requested that she shoot him as a jest, according to court records.
Kathleen Geiger, the woman, was charged with reckless homicide as she believed the gun was not loaded when she aimed and shot it at the victim, court documents from Ohio’s Hamilton County Municipal Court obtained by WLWT5 News said.
Geiger maintained that she and Osborne were “engaged in harmless banter” when he made the request in jest, according to the documents. She gave medical aid to Osborne after the alleged shooting and contacted police. Cincinnati police said they responded to the scene and Osborne was declared deceased there.
