In a recent interview with Reuters, former President Donald Trump proposed a 48-hour ultimatum for China to cease its alleged spy operations in Cuba. Trump warned of imposing significant tariffs on Chinese goods if China failed to comply with his demand.
Expressing his approach, Trump stated, “I’d give them 48 hours to get out. And if they didn’t get out, I’d charge them a 100 percent tariff on everything they sell to the United States, and they’d be gone within two days. They’d be gone within one hour.”
Trump’s remarks reflect his assertive stance toward China and his emphasis on protecting US interests. By proposing such aggressive measures, he aimed to exert pressure on China to abandon its alleged spy base in Cuba promptly.
