Jets’ Aaron Rodgers Reportedly Refused Scans On Multiple Injuries

New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers has reportedly been refusing to get scans for injuries, according to NFL Insider Ian Rapoport.

This comes on the back of increasing rumors that the team is looking to bench the 2011 Super Bowl winner and will undoubtedly fuel more speculation on the veteran QB’s future.

The Jets had another huge shakeup on Tuesday as the team parted ways with general manager Joe Douglas, just six weeks after dismissing head coach Robert Saleh.

It has been reported that, following the Jets’ 10-9 loss to the Denver Broncos in Week 4, owner Woody Johnson floated the idea of benching quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

In a meeting with the coaching staff, he suggested replacing Rodgers with Tyrod Taylor, expressing concerns that the veteran QB’s play was hindering the team’s progress.

Rapoport says, “[Rodgers has] been banged up this season, fighting hamstring, knee and ankle injuries while being off and on the injury report. How injured is he? It’s unclear.” The cause of that apparently is the QB’s refusal to get fully checked out, allegedly in fear of possibly being benched.”
