Two House Democrats on Wednesday called for the resignation of California Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein amid her absence from the upper chamber due to health concerns.
Feinstein, 89, was hospitalized with shingles earlier this year and has remained absent from the Senate while she recovers. In the narrowly divided Senate, her absence, along with that of Pennsylvania Democratic Sen. John Fetterman, has stalled the confirmation of numerous Biden administration nominees.
Democratic Reps. Ro Khanna of California and Dean Phillips of Minnesota called on her to resign.
