12K US Troops Headed To Middle East On Warships

As tensions escalate in the Middle East, reports indicate that over 12,000 U.S. Navy and Marine Corps personnel, stationed aboard ten warships, are being deployed to the region.
Over the weekend, Defense Secretary Lloyd J. Austin III unveiled a series of measures aimed at strengthening the U.S. military’s presence in the Middle East.
These actions include the redirection of the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group to the Central Command area of responsibility. Furthermore, the USS Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group, which boasts the Navy’s most advanced nuclear aircraft carrier, is presently positioned in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea.
