In a series of incidents, a person disguised as a woman targeted three banks in Texas this month, presenting tellers with handwritten “threatening” messages on sticky notes and demanding cash, leading authorities to dub the suspect the “Sticky Note Bandit,” according to the FBI.
The unidentified individual, who remains at large, successfully obtained undisclosed amounts of money from two banks located in the Houston area, as stated in a press release from the FBI’s Violent Crime Task Force.
The first occurrence took place on July 5 at the Hancock Whitney Bank in Houston, where the suspect, dressed in female attire, approached a teller and handed them a threatening note written on a sticky note, explicitly demanding cash.
