8-Year-Old Arrested For Carjacking Driver At Gunpoint

In Alabama, an 8-year-old boy was taken into custody by the police after reportedly engaging in a carjacking at gunpoint and subsequently leading authorities on a pursuit, as stated by law enforcement.

According to Major Saba Coleman, the incident occurred at approximately 11 a.m. on West Fairview Avenue in Montgomery. The young boy, whose identity has not been disclosed publicly, allegedly seized control of a vehicle from an adult while brandishing a firearm.

During the pursuit, the child refused to comply with police directives to stop the vehicle on East South Boulevard and Norman Bridge Road. The chase ultimately concluded when the boy crashed the stolen car into another vehicle at the intersection of West Fairview Avenue and South Court Street.
