The vast majority of Americans, when asked if they agree with the statement “There are two genders, male and female,” said they agree, a new poll has found.
The latest Rasmussen Reports survey said 71% of likely voters believe that there are just two genders (although this website says there are 107 genders, including “tumtum” and “fa’afafine”).
In a surprise, 67% of Democrats agreed — only 14% of Democrats strongly disagreed with the statement.
