Fox News contributor Andrew McCarthy, a former chief assistant U.S. Attorney, claimed that the appointment of David Weiss as the special counsel in the Hunter Biden case was, to say the least, subterfuge by the Department of Justice.
McCarthy called the latest legal move a “sham” and that President Joe Biden’s Justice Department was trying to run out the clock on the investigation by naming a DOJ insider as special counsel.
McCarthy: “This is a sham. There is no special counsel investigation and there is no Biden investigation.This is the Biden Justice Department’s vehicle for maintaining control of an investigation that they are not pursuing.”
