Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Sunday attempted to explain how fellow New York Congress member Jaamal Bowmen pulled a fire alarm as the House was amid voting Saturday on a measure to keep open the government.
She said Bowman, who’s also part of the House liberal “Squad” caucus, acted “in a moment of panic.”
Ocasio-Cortez later in her CNN interview pivoted to arguing House Republicans are”protecting” GOP Rep. George Santos, who is facing a 13-count federal indictment.
