A woman has been arrested in New York City in connection with the suspected fentanyl overdose death of Leandro De Niro Rodriguez, the grandson of actor Robert De Niro, according to information obtained by Fox News.
Sophia Haley Marks, 20, is accused of selling drugs to Rodriguez prior to his untimely death on July 2 in his Manhattan apartment, as stated by a law enforcement source.
On Thursday evening, Marks was apprehended in a collaborative operation involving the New York City Police Department (NYPD), Homeland Security, and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), the source revealed. Marks is scheduled to appear in Manhattan federal Court on Friday to face charges of narcotics distribution.
