Democrat Sens. Kirsten Gillibrand and Tammy Baldwin on Sunday each echoed House Democrat Rep. Nancy Pelosi in saying the Feinstein, an 89-year-old California Democrat, should leave the Senate on her own terms.
Their calls follow two House Democrats saying last week she should resign, amid her struggle with the shingles virus that has kept her off Capitol Hill since March, which has resulted in delays in key confirmation votes for President Biden appointees.
“She’s a team player, and she’s an extraordinary member of the Senate, Gillibrand said of Feinstein on CNN’s “State of the Union.” “It’s her right. She’s been voted by her state to be senator for six years. She has the right, in my opinion, to decide when she steps down.”

Last week, California Rep. Ro Khanna was one of two House Democrats publicly calling for Feinstein to resign.

Khanna, also amid reports of Feinstein’s being propped up by staffers, said “she can no longer fulfill her duties.”
Baldwin said Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press” said “it’s up to” Feinstein and her family about whether she should keep serving.
