The Biden campaign and others are saying former President Trump in New Hampshire on Saturday night channeled the world dictators whom he most admires – as Trump critics continue to warn he would run the U.S. as a dictator if reelected.
“Tonight, Donald Trump channeled his role models as he parroted Adolf Hitler, praised Kim Jong Un, and quoted Vladimir Putin while running for president on a promise to rule as a dictator and threaten American democracy,” said a Biden-Harris campaign spokesman.
The notion that Trump would rule as a dictator took hold several weeks ago when asked on TV by Fox News opinion host whether he would.
Trump said in what seemed to be in a joking manner just on the first day in office so he could finish building a border wall.
