According to Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz, over 10,000 undocumented migrants were apprehended by agents on the U.S.-Mexico border in a 48-hour period this week.
Chief Ortiz shared statistics on the encounters via Twitter, revealing that agents made roughly 10,070 apprehensions, including five sex offenders, four individuals with warrants, and one gang member.
In addition, agents seized drugs, money, firearms, and stolen vehicles, as well as fentanyl, ecstasy, meth, and cocaine.
