On Wednesday, five counties in California enacted mask mandates in certain areas as a preemptive measure ahead of the flu season, as reported by KABC-TV News in Los Angeles.
In Alameda, San Mateo, Contra Costa, and Sonoma counties, healthcare workers in hospitals and doctors’ offices are now required to wear masks when interacting with patients, as outlined by KABC Channel 7.
In Santa Clara County, additional measures have been implemented, mandating that not only healthcare providers and staff but also hospital patients and residents at long-term care facilities wear face coverings.
