California School District Pays $2M Settlement After Student Impregnated Teacher

A California school district has reached a settlement of $2.25 million in its second lawsuit related to allegations of sexual abuse against a former English teacher, soccer coach, and convicted sex offender.
The Redlands Unified School District’s decision to settle comes following a legal case against Laura Whitehurst, who faced charges of sexual misconduct and was arrested in 2013.
With this recent settlement, the total compensation paid out to Whitehurst’s victims now amounts to $8.25 million, as reported by the Press-Enterprise.
