Cartel Roadside Bomb Kills 6 Police Officers In Mexico

A coordinated series of bomb explosions along roadways in western Mexico has claimed the lives of six police officers and prosecutors’ agents, in an attack that officials believe was orchestrated by a drug cartel.

According to the governor of Jalisco state, the bombings occurred late Tuesday in Tlajomulco, a city located near the state capital of Guadalajara.

The attack was executed after an anonymous caller provided a volunteer search group with a tip regarding a supposed hidden burial site near the road. Tragically, the explosions resulted in 12 additional injuries.
