Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is embarking on a trip to Israel and is extending a challenge to his fellow presidential contenders to follow suit.
During a town hall event in New Hampshire on Thursday night, Christie announced his plans to visit the war-torn country over the weekend, where he intends to meet with families of abducted civilians, members of the Israeli Defense Forces, and government officials.
Although Christie’s campaign did not promptly disclose his itinerary, CNN initially reported on the upcoming trip.
