The Republican National Committee has designated Houston, Texas, as the chosen host city for their presidential nominating convention in 2028.
This announcement followed a decision made by the RNC’s 168 committee members, as conveyed through a press release. Houston was among the three final contenders to host the 2028 convention, along with Miami, Florida, and Nashville, Tennessee.
RNC Charwoman Ronna McDaniel expressed enthusiasm, stating, “I am excited to announce Houston as the host city for the 2028 Republican National Convention. After a well-considered decision made by the RNC last spring, enabling us to select the next convention city ahead of schedule, we eagerly anticipate placing Houston in the spotlight in 2028.”
