Juan Carols Osorio, a rigger for Marvel’s “Wonder Man” movie, died on the movie set at Radford Studios in Studio City, Tuesday at the age of 41.
The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed the worker was pronounced dead on scene, according to Deadline. It was reported that Osorio fell to his death while on the catwalk, an upper-level walkway above the set.
It is not clear if he was working in the catwalk at the time, or if he was moving through the space when the accident occurred. The movie was not filming at the time the incident took place, according to Deadline.
Osario was a native of Temple City. A spokesperson from Marvel spoke out about the tragedy in a statement issued to Deadline.
“Everyone in the IA family is shocked and deeply saddened by this tragic loss. We are working to support our member’s family, and his fellow members and colleagues,” said President Matthew D. Loeb.
