The former NFL’s star’s foray into college coaching has received a lot attention, similar to his pro career in which he enjoyed the spotlight.
Sports fans, analysts and others are closely watching how coach Deon Sanders leads a major college football team like the University of Colorado.
Sanders’ team was 2-0 and ranked in Associated Press’ Top 25 before the loss Saturday to the University of Oregon, which like Colorado was in fact in the Top 20.
“We played like hot garbage,” Sanders said after the loss.
