Polling data indicates that Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) is making steady progress in the GOP presidential primary race, challenging former President Donald Trump.
According to a recent survey conducted by Emerson College from June 19-20, Trump still holds a lead over DeSantis, capturing 59% of the support compared to DeSantis’s 21%.
However, DeSantis has seen a notable increase in his backing since the previous poll conducted by the college in April, where he garnered 16% support. While Trump remains the frontrunner in most polls, a June CBS News poll revealed that his overall support has gradually declined since April.
